Bad Blood
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
The 4th and final book in the series. Definitely a bit harder to follow and not nearly as good as the first 2. Too much cult talk.

The Texas Murders
by James Patterson
After just traveling to Texas myself this past summer, it was interesting to read about all the cities Ranger Rory traveled to. Great action packed book.

The Life Impossible
by Matt Haig
This book started out great. About a forthcoming of the way in it seemed to start to take forever to get to the next chapter. I know a lot of people loved this book. I would not recommend this book. I personally really struggled to read it.

The Children On The Hill
by Jennifer McMahon
A very interesting take on the classic monster story except involving real humans and the monstrosities of eugenics.

Camino Winds
by John Grisham
Great sequel to Camino Island. I found the plot interesting which made it a fast read. Toward the end I would have liked to have seen more of Mercer’s character involved in the story but it seems her role is prominent in the next book, Camino Ghosts.

All In
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Book 3 of this YA series. Things keep getting crazier for Cassie and the gang. Hoping it all comes together in book 4.

Horror movie
by Paul Tremblay
This was not my favorite Tremblay novel. It was confusing and a little pretentious and not scary. The language was beautifully written and the characters were complex, however.

A Hunger To Kill
by Kim Mager
An easy read about a deranged serial killer. I had no prior knowledge about his antics. Looking forward to hearing the next stage of his court proceedings, schedule for 3/19/25.

Heavyweight
by Solomon J. Brager
This was an interesting and unusual read. It had some humor but also lots of anxiousness and tragedy and anxiety. It was a quick read. Did make me think afterwards about what kind of legacy I personally have inherited from my parents/grandparents/etc. and what type of legacy do I hope to leave for others to learn about and discover if they so desire.

Between the Lines: Not-so-tall Tales from Ray "Scampy" Scapinello's Four Decades in the NHL
by Ray Scapinello and Rob Simpson
Fun read with stories on and off the ice for a longtime NHL official. I enjoyed Scampy's analysis and perspective on how the game of ice hockey has changed and evolved over the years. Lots of different sources (other officials, former players, former coaches, league officials, etc.) I enjoyed reading this book and passed it along to an aspiring on-ice official who lives near me who is a high school student who is a part-time official and lifelong lover of the game.
