The Cruel Prince
by Holly Black

View in Library Catalog

It wasn’t a bad fantasy read but it honestly I wasn’t my favorite. Jude is forced to live in the fae world with her twin sister Taryan and her older sister Vivienne, after Modec kills their mother. Jude struggles with finding where she belongs in the Fae world and their acceptance. The story was good but just read slow for me.

The Levee
by William Kent Krueger

View in Library Catalog

4 men, 3 prisoners, attempt to save a family living near a levee that could blow and flood the area.

Midnight Creed
by Alex Kava

Another great Kava book. Ryder Creed and Maggie O'Dell's cases come together with a serial killer and missing boy.

Tempt Me
by K. A. Tucker

Very steamy, but didn’t realize it was a series until I was almost finished with it. Didn’t find the plot to be interesting enough to continue the series unfortunately.

Peak
by Roland Smith

Another book I read for my school's Battle of the Books. Very intense story about 14 year old Peak trying to climb to the summit of Everest. Great details about the hardships faced on the climb.

The Woman In Me
by Britney Spears

Wow! Let's just say Britney had a really crazy life since she was 4 years old.

Fooling the Forward
by Jacob Chance

It was okay, maybe good for a fast read, there wasn’t a lot of detail or back and forth but it did have a nice ending.

The Dinner List
by Rebecca Serle

Interesting read, really makes you think. I would suggest this to everyone. Reminds me of "The Midnight Library," in five years, or your blue is not my blue

Murder Your Employer
by Rupert Holmes

View in Library Catalog

Very cleverly written. If you want to murder your employer and get away with it, you need to go to MacMaster to learn the best way to "delete" your target. You will learn the skills and tricks that will enable you to achieve your goal. You follow three students through their coursework. Will everyone do what they want? Maaaaybe...or maybe not.

Hideaway

I really like these books as individuals and as a series. On the darker side, but definitely worth it.
