Book 3 of this YA series. Things keep getting crazier for Cassie and the gang. Hoping it all comes together in book 4.

Horror movie

This was not my favorite Tremblay novel. It was confusing and a little pretentious and not scary. The language was beautifully written and the characters were complex, however.

Deep and moving. The last lines will be with me for a while.

Heavyweight

This was an interesting and unusual read. It had some humor but also lots of anxiousness and tragedy and anxiety. It was a quick read. Did make me think afterwards about what kind of legacy I personally have inherited from my parents/grandparents/etc. and what type of legacy do I hope to leave for others to learn about and discover if they so desire.

I listened to this book and almost stopped as he speaks kind of obnoxiously. I ended up finishing it and really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to others

Definitely better than the last few Preston books that just didn't end. It kept you guessing for sure.

Great young adult series! Teenagers with special profiling skills are used by the FBI to solve cold cases, but always manage to weasel their way into an active case.

Between the Lines: Not-so-tall Tales from Ray "Scampy" Scapinello's Four Decades in the NHL

Fun read with stories on and off the ice for a longtime NHL official. I enjoyed Scampy's analysis and perspective on how the game of ice hockey has changed and evolved over the years. Lots of different sources (other officials, former players, former coaches, league officials, etc.) I enjoyed reading this book and passed it along to an aspiring on-ice official who lives near me who is a high school student who is a part-time official and lifelong lover of the game.

An easy read about a deranged serial killer. I had no prior knowledge about his antics. Looking forward to hearing the next stage of his court proceedings, schedule for 3/19/25.

The Lake Of Lost Girls

Easy to read mystery/suspense with crime podcast chapters. Great plot, though somewhat predictable for avid readers, but there are still twists and turns to leave you guessing throughout the whole book even until the end! Trigger warnings include: substance use, death, murder, abuse, and grief, so it may not be suitable for all readers.
